CM Punk On Steve Austin: Our Match Should Have Happened Over A Decade Ago, If He Still Wants To Go To Sleep, He Can Call Me

CM Punk is still open to the challenge of the Texas Rattlesnake.

Over a decade ago, CM Punk and Steve Austin looked like they were about to make a dream match come to life by stepping in the ring with each other, but sadly, that never came to fruition, however, in this age of pro wrestling, you can never say never when it comes to how big the WWE can make WrestleMania.

During a sitdown on The Masked Man Show during Fanatics Fest NYC, Punk was asked about the idea of facing Austin one day, this is what the former WWE Champion had to say about the WWE Hall of Famer.

“That would be up to Steve. It’s not up to me. I think he had a pretty good return. Came back, main evented WrestleMania. At this point, his six shooters might be buried in the Nevada desert. If he wants to dig them up, I’m your huckleberry. It should’ve happened ten-plus years ago, but if he wants to go to sleep, he can call me,” said Punk.

Punk is currently getting set to go back to war against Drew McIntyre, this time at Bash in Berlin in a Strap Match.
