Matt Cardona Wants To End His Career In The WWE, Says He Wants To Have Another WrestleMania Moment

Matt Cardona is always ready for the WWE.

Since departing from the WWE in 2020, Matt Cardona has become one of, if not the hottest name on the independent circuit where he has held championships for TNA, GCW, and MLW, along with many other companies from around the globe.

However, Cardona knows where he wants to end up next, the same place he wants to end his career in and that is the WWE.

“I think right now in summer 2024, being released from WWE for four years, I honestly feel like I’m closer to the WWE world title than I was when I worked for WWE. I’m proud to be the ‘Indie God,’ I’m proud to be the face of GCW, but when it’s all said and done, I want to end my career in WWE. I want to have another WrestleMania moment, I want to be in Madison Square Garden, but as Matt Cardona. Zack Ryder is dead. I am so fortunate for Zack Ryder for the highs and the lows, the good and the bad because it set me up for this. It prepared me for this,” Cardona said to Sports Illustrated.

Cardona has said he is open to matches with the likes of John Cena who he has a storied past and who is planning his retirement tour in 2025.
