Tatsumi Fujinami To Face Hiromu Takahashi at 11/22 Dradition DRAGON EXPO 1978

Junior heavyweight legends to clash in November.

In a post to their X account, Dradition Pro-Wrestling announced the dream match of Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Hiromu Takahashi would take place in the main event of their upcoming DRAGON EXPO 1978 event. Not only will the match feature the first time singles clash between the two former IWGP champions, but it will also see fellow former junior heavyweight champion Jushin Thunder Liger act as a special guest referee.

The match will be the second time the two have shared the ring after Fujinami teamed with Masakatsu Funaki and Jinsei Shinzaki to defeat Takahashi, AKIRA, and Shiro Koshinaka at a Dradition Pro-Wrestling event in March of 2023.

Fujinami, a six-time IWGP Heavyweight champion, spent decades in New Japan Pro-Wrestling as a major star in the junior heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. Nicknamed “The Dragon,” he would later be named the president of NJPW before leaving in 2006 and founding Dradition Pro-Wrestling the same year with Osamu Nishimura.
