NJPW Shingo Takagi’s 25th Anniversary Show Results & Review (September 7th, 2024)

On September 7th, 2024 NJPW aired Shingo Takagi’s 25th Anniversary Show live in Yamanashi Japan inside I Messe Yamanashi in front of 1,678 fans & can watch it on NJPW World.

Note: This review is shorter then normal as its the last few mins of the match.

Masatora Yasuda vs Daiki Nagai

Daiki Nagai works a hammerlock and kept Masatora Yasuda grounded.

Yasuda hits a dropkick for a near fall then a bodyslam for a near fall.

He was going for a pin when we reached the 10 Minute mark.

United Empire (Francesco Akira & Callum Newman) vs. Shoma Kato & Riiita

Riiita got in and chops Callum Newman but he no sold them so Riiita hits a hurricanrana.

Shoma & Francesco Akira got back in and they traded forearm strikes.

Akira hit a spin kick to the head and a faceplant then Fireball for the win.

United Empire (NEVER Openweight Champion Henare & Television Champion Jeff Cobb) vs. Ryusuke Taguchi & Katsuya Murashima

Jeff Cobb hits a bodyslam and a standing moonsault for a near fall then Henare tags back in and continued to beat up Ryusuke Taguchi. Katsuya Murashima got in and hit a dropkick on Henare.

He went for a Boston Crab but Henare fought free.

Henare hits a running penalty kick for a near fall then Native Knee in the corner for the win.

House Of Torture (Ren Narita & Sho) vs. Shota Umino & Jado

Jado got back in and fought Sho before hitting a DDT out of the ropes for a near fall.

Shota Umino hits a dropkick on Ren Narita and was fired up.

Narita struck Jado in the head with his push up bar and Sho covered Jado for the win.

Mad Bastards (Strong Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd & Jake Lee) vs. Tomohiro Ishii & Tomoaki Honma

Tomoaki Honma tags back in and drops Gabe Kidd with a shoulder tackle and hits Kokeshi.

Lee hit a vertical suplex on Honma. Lee tossed Tomohiro Ishii to the floor and brawled with him at ringside. In the ring Honma hit a leaping headbutt on Kidd for a near fall.

Lee hits FBS on Honma & Kidd immediately hit O Knee for the victory.

Winners: Mad Bastards (8:21)

Just 5 Guys (Junior Heavyweight Champion Douki & Taka Michinoku) vs. Bullet Club (Taiji Ishimori & Gedo)

Taiji Ishimori hits a handspring back spin kick on Douki then Gedo tags back in and hit some jab punches on Douki. Douki applied the Douki Chokey on Gedo but Ishimori made the save.

Douki again applied the Douki Chokey and this time Gedo passed out.

NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champions Be Bop Tag Team (Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano) & Boltin Oleg & Tiger Mask IV vs. House Of Torture (Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Yujiro Takahashi, Dick Togo & Evil)

Evil locks in a Sharpshooter on Hiroshi Tanahashi then Tanahashi hits Twist & Shout then Tiger Mask got the hot tag and he battled Yoshinobu Kanemaru.

He hit a Tiger Bomb but Dick Togo jumped in the ring and stomped on Tiger Mask.

Tiger Mask hit a backbreaker over his knee.

Kanemaru sprayed whiskey in Tiger Mask’s eyes then he rolls him up for the win.

United Empire (KOPW 2024 Champion Great O Khan & Jakob Austin Young) vs. TMDK (2024 G1 Climax Winner Zack Sabre Jr & Kosei Fujita)

Kosei Fujita hits a plancha to the floor on Great O Khan before Zack Sabre Jr hits a running kick to Jakob Austin Young’s chest. Young applied an Octopus stretch.

However ZSJ drops to the mat & ties Young into a pretzel and Young taps out.

Los Ingobernables De Japon (IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito, Yota Tsuji & Hiromu Takahashi) vs. Los Ingobernables De Japon (Shingo Takagi & Bushi) & Yamato

Tetsuya Naito hits a tornado DDT then Destino for a near fall before Shingo Takagi hits a double clothesline. Takagi & Naito traded forearm strikes.

Takagi hits Made In Japan for a near fall then a Pumping Bomber for a near fall.

Naito hits Destino on Takagi for a near fall before Takagi hits another Pumping Bomber before the time limit expired during the pinfall attempt.
