Damian Priest Says He Is Confident That His Best Years In Professional Wrestling Are Ahead Of Him
Damian Priest knows his best years are still to come.
During a sitdown on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Damian Priest spoke about winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, and how he feels like his best years are still ahead of him in his professional wrestling career.
“The world has changed. When they say my age out loud, it reminds me of, oh, wow, I actually am that age. But I don’t think that way, I don’t feel that way. Maybe it’s just because I’m immature [laughs]. But people are like, ‘Well, how many more years do you think you can do this?’ I’m like, I don’t know, a lot? Because I’m fine. Once I start getting stuff fixed [laughs], I’ll be even better. I’m not going anywhere,” Priest said.
“It’s gotta. That’s exactly the way I’m thinking. I’m not the first to do it. There’s guys way older than me that have been able to continuously have success, not just in wrestling but in anything that they set their minds to. So I feel like I’m good. I have a lot left in wrestling and just the entertainment business as a whole. I’m pretty confident that…I feel like my best years are still ahead,” Priest said.
Priest was betrayed by Finn Balor and kicked out of the Judgement Day, but got a small form of revenge when he and Rhea Ripley defeated Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan at Bash In Berlin this past month.
