Kaito Kiyomiya Retains GHC Heavyweight Title At STAR NAVIGATION 2024, Challenged By Masa Kitamiya

Pro Wrestling NOAH’s STAR NAVIGATION 2024 at Korakuen Hall ended with Kaito Kiyomiya holding on to his GHC Heavyweight Championship with a victory over New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Ryohei Oiwa. This was the final match in NOAH for Oiwa as his excursion has ended and he will be heading back to NJPW.

The two combatants had a hellacious match that saw numerous near falls. The end came when Kiyomiya attempted a figure four but turned into a pinfall win over Oiwa to retain his title. Kiyomiya appeared to have injured his elbow during the course of the match.

Following the match, Kiyomiya began to praise Oiwa when they were interrupted by Masa Kitamiya. Kitamiya proceeded to challenge Kiyomiya for the GHC Heavyweight Championship, a challenge that was quickly accepted by the champion for October 14th. Kiyomiya then asked Kitamiya to leave the ring as it was Oiwa’s moment.

Kiyomiya and Oiwa shared an emotional few minutes with each other to close STAR NAVIGATION 2024 as the two have spent the last year together in NOAH both as friends and rivals. Kiyomiya thanked Oiwa for competing in NOAH. The crowd gave Oiwa a huge ovation to send him off as he heads back to NJPW.
