Exclusive: When Did Je’Von Evans Find Out He Was Wrestling Randy Orton?
Sometimes surprises still exist in wrestling.
Je’Von Evans will wrestle Randy Orton on the October 8th episode of WWE NXT on the CW Network to the surprise of many, but apparently we weren’t the only ones surprised by the announcement.
I spoke to sources within NXT about the upcoming matchup between Evans and Orton, and was told that Je’Von was unaware of the match and that he actually found out live on the air that he would be wrestling Randy Orton while he was in the ring when Vic Joseph made the announcement and Orton’s tweet was show on the screen.

Evans had previously stated that Randy Orton was one of his two dream opponents, and he was quick to comment on Orton’s post on social media announcing the match.
