TNA is on the road to Bound For Glory, and emerging from their last set of television tapings coming out of Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee is a spoiler for a MASSIVE match.
While spoilers have been few and far between, Bodyslam has been received word from two independent sources that current TNA X Division Champion, Mike Bailey, will be defending his title against a returning El Hijo Del Vikingo.
One of the sources stated:
“It was announced after an X-Division title match between Speedball and Leon Slater. Vikingo didn’t come out, but a video package was played of him and a graphic appeared announcing The match. And Jade Chung said that yes it’s official for Bound For Glory.”
The match will be for Bailey’s X Division Title.
Vikingo was part of TNAs first PPV of the year – Hard To Kill – where he challenged Chris Sabin and Kushida for the X Division Title.
He was last on TNA television on the 1/18 TNA iMPACT episode. Bailey was part of a 6 man match which featured Jake Something, Trey Miguel, Mike Bailey, Kushida, and Laredo Kid. Jake won the match.
Vikingo has been sidelined in mid-February with a torn meniscus and ruptured ligament. Only recently has he been taking bookings again.
