WWE NXT Makes CM Punk Happy
CM Punk is back in WWE and he’s everywhere, including NXT. Recently, CM Punk sat down with the No-Contest Wrestling Podcast, where he spoke on a number of topics, including NXT. CM Punk has been at NXT both on and off screen, sometimes they’re just to watch the shows and give advice. During the interview, CM Punk was asked about the younger generation of WWE superstars, and he revealed being at NXT makes him happy, and seeing the young talent that look up to him is humbling
Every single one of them [Have pictures with him], and I go home to my wife just completely humbled and like, emotional about it… I woke up and I was this dude, you know? And when kids come up to me and they’re comfortable enough to be like “look at this”, and it’s a picture of them when they’re little at an autograph signing, you know, and they tell me “hey, you inspired me to do this.” It’s just like getting to tell Roddy Piper “hey, you’re the reason I did this.” And I don’t know if it meant anything to him, but it meant something to me to be able to tell him that, so, legitimately on a daily basis.

CM Punk continued on about the NXT Talent

CM Punk then praised the WWE Performance center and how it helps the stars of the future.
NXT, the way that it’s set up now, is just like a college sports program. They have everything in-house and they have air conditioning [laughs] I always walk in there and everybody’s happy to see me and I’m happy to be there and see them and I’m always like, they got six rings in this room over here, they got PT, massage, like everything you could possibly have, it’s like a college program. Kids said up, laying on the floor, they got the normatech boots on, somebodies getting worked on, people getting dry needles, stem, somebodies rehabbing an ACL over here, they have everything at their disposal to be the best that they can possibly be. Weight room, multiple weight rooms, everything. To me, it’s Disney World for an athlete, and that’s why I love going down there. To me, it’s the fountain of youth because I walk down there and I’m just like “This is great!”, I’m like, I’m Wilford Brimley in Cocoon
