KillSwitch, FKA Luchasaurus, is still battling a severe pneumonia case, and now we have a little bit of an update on his condition.
KillSwitch Health Update
KillSwitch revealed he’s battling pneumonia, after he collapsed at home in late September, and it was revealed that his blood oxygen levels had dropped dangerously below 80%. Now, new concerns have emerged. During a Wrestling Observer Radio episode, Dave Meltzer reported that Luchasaurus was expected to return to the gym on Monday, saying, “I heard he was supposed to be back in the gym on Monday. So unless there was some turnaround, I think he’s getting better.” But, that’s not the case.
Dave’s report was corrected by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, when he explained that Luchasaurus had suffered setbacks in his recovery. Alvarez explained that KillSwitch’s condition was more serious than previously thought.
He is not back in the gym and he will not be back in the gym for a while, and he’s not going to be back wrestling, probably, for a while. And hopefully, he will be back wrestling in a while. Apparently, there were complications. He ends up getting this flu and bad oxygen uptake as a result of whatever else, turned into pneumonia. And apparently, he’s at high risk for a relapse… The big concern is that after all of this, they’ve been running test after test, and apparently there may be permanent damage. They found calcification in a heart valve, and his body is not producing iron, so he’s got a whole bunch of tests that he apparently has to take. It’s bad.
