MVP had recently signed with AEW, but there was a big elephant in the room, and that was Chris Jericho. The two don’t see eye to eye, or didn’t.
MVP and Chris Jericho Hash It Out
It’s been no secret that Chris Jericho and MVP were friends turned foes. The two got into an altercation at a previous Jericho Cruise, which was first reported here ant Bodyslam, which you can read about here, where MVP knocked Jericho out. Then, another scuffle occurred at a hotel. So, questions arose surrounding how things would play out now that MVP signed with AEW. Well, per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, MVP took the issue head-on and approached Chris Jericho immedietly on his first night in the locker room and hashed things out.
Those that we spoke to said that word emerged backstage and among talent that on MVP’s first night on the job, he went directly to Chris Jericho’s locker room. We weren’t given any specifics on what was said there, but according to those in AEW, it was hashed out and won’t be an issue moving forward. MVP was praised by numerous backstage for addressing the issue directly.

In addition, we’re told that MVP and Jericho have been seen interacting backstage since then, including last week’s Dynamite.
It’s good to know that things are now in the past and they can be friends again. The less drama, the better!
