Rob Van Dam is living the best of both worlds. The WWE Hall Of Famer and former champion is free to do as he pleases, with one minor catch.
RVD Is WWE
Rob Van Dam showed up on WWE TV for a quick little SmackDown Cameo on September 13th. Previously, AEW had RVD do a few matches for them a few months prior, as well as Van Dam making independent appearances at signings. It seems like RVD is everywhere, but how? Well, The Whole F’N Show sat down with Cheap Heat Productions Podcast to reveal that he does have a deal with WWE, but, he can still work elsewhere, the only catch is that he cannot get licensed merchandise, toys or be in video games.
The first time that I talked to Tony Khan about doing this (working with AEW), a factor was that I still have a WWE Legends deal. So, my use to AEW would be limited as far as they can’t put me on video games, action figures, stuff like that and so, you could say it’s limited on both ends or you could say I got both ends going, best of both worlds or you could just say RVD does whatever he wants,

RVD can really be wherever he wants, because, well, he’s Rob Van Dam. Van Dam recently spoke about wanting to face Will Ospreay in AEW, as well.
