The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles were on the line tonight in a cross-brand contest.
Meta Four’s SmackDown Debut
WWE NXT’s Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend, 2/4th’s of NXT’s Meta Four, made their SmackDown debut tonight to challenge Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair in a Women’s Tag Team Title Match. This match was filled with chaos from everyone other than the competitors in the ring. Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton interrupted the match beforehand, then Trick Williams was shown at ringside, and to top it off, Chelsea Green and Piper Niven stood at ringside to watch.
Despite this, Jackson and Legend started off well and had some good tag team offense on the champs. Suddenly, the action spilled outside of the ring, where Jakara and Lash had ahold of Bianca. Chelsea Green then tried to get involved, causing her to get pump-kicked by Lash Legend. This allowed Bianca to take control, and seconds later, Bianca and Jade picked up the win by pinning Jakara Jackson.
Sadly, the match was not long and left a lot to be desired. Maybe we can see a rematch down the line. You can catch more SmackDown highlights here.
