Kyle Fletcher Betrays Will Ospreay, Konosuke Takeshita Wins AEW International Championship At WrestleDream
The highly-anticipated three-way for the AEW International Championship lived up to its expectations.
Will Ospreay had to elevate above the odds and defend his championship title against Ricochet, and former stablemate, Konosuke Takeshita who betrayed the champion in the middle of a defense on the fifth anniversary of AEW Dynamite. Now, the three men were determined to leave everything on the line.
The whole crowd was standing up, all three men gave everything they could. From brutal forearm blows to close falls that almost led to a new champion being crowned in Tacoma, Washington.
Even after multiple German Suplexes, and refusing to be taken out with devastating lariats. There was no quit. Three of the very best athletes in the world gave everyone a reason to give them a shot at the match of the year for 2024.
After a devastating Bastard Driver through a table off the apron, and back-to-back Hidden Blades by Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher chose to betray Ospreay to allow Takeshita to put the Aerial Assasin down to crown a new AEW International Champion.
