RVD Slams Fan Who Says Paul Heyman Gave Him Drugs

The 90’s were a wild time, but ECW talent weren’t being paid in drugs, according to RVD.

Rob Van Dam Shuts Down Fan Theory

ECW aka Extreme Championship Wrestling, was a hardcore, balls-to-the-walls, anything goes wrestling company in the 90’s that earned a cult following through their brash programming. During that time, we’ve heard stories of fights, and heavy drug use. New Jack has been on record sharing stories of him and Sandman doing acid before having a match, and even Paul Heyman having to wipe coke off if his nose backstage. Raven, former ECW, WWE & TNA star has also gone on record to jokingly say “if you passed a drug test, you’re fired”, while also admitting drug use was happening in ECW, WWF & WCW.

We’ve also heard stories of owner Paul Heyman not paying the wrestlers and owing people a lot of money, namely infamous stories of Tommy Dreamer wanting to kill Heyman for owing him so much.

Today, a fan asked RVD if he would be interested in joining his TikTok live stream. Van Dam followed up by asking how many followers the fan had, to which he replied 1,000. Suddenly, another fan chimed in to say an audience of 1,000 fans, empty promises and drugs are what Heyman offered in ECW.

The Whole F’N Show clapped back to say Paul Heyman never gave the ECW roster, saying the fan was “way off.”

Despite not paying talent, and sometimes screwing them over Van Dam does deny Heyman ever gave him drugs instead of actual money. But, there’s so many wild stories about ECW, the world may never truly know.
