Swerve Strickland: I Was The Best Thing To Happen To Hangman Page, I Brought Him To The Main Event When He Was On Zero Hour

Swerve Strickland knows he will have to run it back with his rival one day.

While answering questions during the post show media scrum for AEW’s WrestleDream. The return of Swerve Strickland led to him being confronted by the Hurt Syndicate. But, the former World Champion had this to say about Hangman Page, the man who last defeated Strickland at AEW’s All Out event.

“Right now, I think a lot of things have been settled, but there is a small minute piece that still hasn’t been settled with him. He can have that victory. He can that unsanctioned victory over me. I have two legit victories over him. I’m always going to hold that over his head. Another thing was, over the last year, I was the best thing to happen to Hangman Page. If you look at All Out last year, he was on Zero Hour doing a battle royal. I brought him to the main event. Just like I did with Will Ospreay.”

Strickland is not yet cleared to compete, but he knows that when he is, the first challenger who will be waiting for him is Shelton Benjamin of the Hurt Syndicate.
