WWE Raw Results & Review (October 14th, 2024)

On October 14th, 2024 WWE aired the 1,638th episode of Raw live in St Louis Missouri inside Enterprise Center.

Note: This review will be shorter then normal as it be the last few mins of the match.

-Kicking off this week’s Raw with Rhea Ripley says she’s not done with Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez & the Women’s World Title. She then calls them down to the ring but Miss Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton’s music hits instead and she makes her way out.

-Stratton says Ripley wasn’t expecting her but she has an important message from Nia Jax. Ripley says it’s not Tiffy Time right now and gets in Stratton’s face. She shoves Stratton but Stratton returns the favor. Morgan & Rodriguez then blindside Ripley & Stratton from behind and Morgan hits Stratton with her Women’s Money In The Bank briefcase. She then holds up her Women’s World Title standing tall with Rodriguez.

-A video package aired on the Women’s Tag Team Title match that included comments from both teams.

-After the break we see Rhea Ripley request a match against Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez from Adam Pearce. Pearce grants the match to Ripley but tells her that she needs a tag partner. Ripley protests his condition but Tiffany Stratton interrupts. Pearce suggests to Ripley that Stratton partner and Ripley tells him that’s fine.

Women’s Tag Team Titles Match
Bianca BelAir & Jade Cargill (c) vs. Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane & Iyo Sky)

Iyo Sky then gets in Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson’s face but Legend levels her with a forearm.

Bianca BelAir takes advantage and lands the KOD on SKY back in the ring for the win.

Winners & Still Women’s Tag Team Champions: Bianca BelAir & Jade Cargill (STILL CHAMPIONS!!!)

-Backstage World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh were walking and talking backstage when they came across Adam Pearce. Balor demanded to know when he would get his rematch with Damian Priest. Pearce informed them that he was setting up a tournament to determine their next challengers. Liv Morgan & Dominik Mysterio showed up. Balor made his exit. Morgan introduced Raquel Rodriguez. Carlito looked smitten.

-After the break we get an American Made vignette aired with Chad Gable, Creed Brothers & Ivy Nile. Julius said they are sick and tired of degenerates asking for handouts and Americans need a hero. Gable spoke about how he would be that hero.

-Bron Breakker was featured in a promo video. He played up the question of why he attacked Jey Uso. Breakker said he showed respect to Uso, who threw it back in his face and never said that he respected him as a champion. Breakker said he’s not carrying on his family legacy. He said he’s doing it on his own.

-Breakker said someday his family will have the same amount of respect for him that he has for them. Breakker accused Jey of using his family legacy for years. Breakker said Jey wants to do it on his own and now he’ll take an ass kicking on his own. Your family can’t save you from me Breakker said to close.

-Footage aired from Saturday of Adam Pearce & Bronson Reed having a sit down conversation. Pearce spoke about how he can’t have Reed’s antics. Reed spoke of wanting to face Seth Rollins. Pearce said he couldn’t until they are on the same page. Reed said everything he’s done about is about proving that he belongs on top. Pearce said he would speak with Rollins about the match if Reed agreed not to cause more trouble. Reed told Pearce he’s a smarter businessman than he thought and added that he shouldn’t make him wait too long

1st Round Match Of The World Tag Team Titles #1 Contenders Tournament
Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis) vs. War Raiders (Erik & Ivar)

Otis sets up for The Caterpillar but Ivar hits him with a roundhouse kick to his head.

Ivar tags in and they hit Fallout for the win.

Winners: War Raiders

-Backstage Adam Pearce informed Seth Rollins that Bronson Reed wants the match just as Rollins does. Pearce expressed concern about the injuries that Rollins has endured. Rollins said you fight through the injuries to get to the top. He said once you get there, young guys like Reed will try to make a name off of you. Rollins said he did it and so did Pearce and now Reed is doing the same. Rollins said he’s slayed beasts and conquered kings, and now hunting a monster sounds nice. Rollins said he needs the fight and he needs people like Reed to bring out the best in him. Rollins said Pearce needs the best version of him for Raw.

-After the break Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes says to know where you’re going, you have to know where you’ve been. He talks about the history of professional wrestling in St. Louis and asks them what they want to talk about.

-World Heavyweight Champion Gunther’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. He says he would usually come to the ring and speak the uncomfortable truth about whoever his opponent is but there isn’t much negative to say about Rhodes. He says Rhodes is truly the quarterback of WWE then says while he doesn’t respect many people in the company, Rhodes is one of them. He says the only negative thing about Rhodes is that he’s everyone’s darling then says he expects to see the best version of him at Crown Jewel.

-Rhodes says what Gunther sees as his greatest weakness is actually his greatest strength then says Gunther hasn’t been in the ring with him one on one yet. Gunther calls Rhodes the biggest secondary champion in WWE and Rhodes says Gunther really has become a frightening beast. He says he has a long history of conquering beasts then shakes hands with him.

-We get a recap of Bron Breakker taking out New Day & Jey Uso last week.

-Footage aired from after last week’s Raw of Kingston telling Woods that if the shoe had been on the other foot, Jey would have been among the first people to come out and help him. Woods said he realizes that, but he also recalled Kingston saying that he was going to let him call the plays and that hasn’t been happening.

-After the break a Dragon Lee vignette aired. He spoke about having the honor of joining the legendary LWO. He said he has become stronger and wiser over the last year and his heroes look at him as an equal. He said not even the sky is the limit and that he is destined to fly

Bron Breakker vs. Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston connects with Boom Drop and a Hammerlock DDT then goes for a pin but Bron Breakker kicks out.

Kingston looks to fly off the top rope but Breakker responds with a belly 2 belly suplex and a spear for the win.

Winner: Bron Breakker

-After the match Breakker looks to beat down Kingston. Xavier Woods runs down to the ring to make the save but Breakker levels him. Jey Uso’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. He takes down Breakker with a spear and helps up Woods.

-Backstage Damian Priest told Rhea Ripley that she looked ready and asked if she wanted him at ringside. Ripley said she had it covered. Ripley asked Priest if he thought any more about what they spoke about. Priest said he did. Ripley said it’s time for him to get back what was stolen from him. Priest said he’d always have her back against Judgment Day, but he agreed that it was time for him to become champion again. They hugged and then Priest told Ripley to go handle the girls.

-After the break we head backstage and see Jey find Jimmy Uso waiting in his locker room. Jimmy asks Jey if he has a second but Jey opts to walk away instead of hearing him out.

R Truth vs. The Miz

R Truth offers his hand to The Miz & Miz shakes it and The Final Testament appears at ringside capturing Miz’s attention. Truth takes advantage and rolls up Miz for the win.

Winner: R Truth

-After the match Truth celebrates his win by hugging Miz & Karrion Kross. Kross orders Authors Of Pain to intercept Truth and he does dumping him in the ring for Miz to connect with a Skull Crushing Finale on him.

-We then head backstage and see Jimmy Uso searching for Jey Uso. Jimmy asks Jey to hear him out but Jey firmly tells him no and tells him to get out of his face.

Tag Team Match
Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. Miss Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton & Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley dumps Raquel Rodriguez out of the ring then tags in Tiffany Stratton.

She brawls with Rodriguez on the outside as Stratton looks to land Prettiest Moonsault Ever but Liv Morgan avoids it.

Women’s CHampion Nia Jax then appears at ringside clocking Ripley & Rodriguez from behind to cause the disqualification.

Winners: No One (No Contest)

-After the match Jax helps Stratton up. Ripley lands a headbutt on her, but Morgan goes after her. Jax gains the upperhand and catches her with the An Nia Lator. She encourages Stratton to cash in her Women’s Money In The Bank briefcase on Morgan & Stratton grabs the briefcase. Dominik Mysterio helps Morgan out of the ring before she can and carries her to the back as Rodriguez stands next to them.
