Bruce Prichard: Michael Hayes Constantly Brought Up The Idea Of Undertaker’s Streak Until It Was Greenlit
Michael Hayes wanted to see the Streak come alive.
During his career, the Undertaker was undefeated for a strong twenty-one WrestleMania events where he defeated the best and made them all rest in peace. On his podcast, Something To Wrestle, Bruce Prichard spoke about how the man behind the idea who continued to push for it to be brought into a storyline was Michael Hayes.
“The Streak kinda came up from Michael Hayes. Michael would always have tidbits of information that Michael would kind of throw out. Hey, you know what? ‘Taker’s undefeated at WrestleMania, there’s something we could do there, you know?’ Is there a story there?'”
Prichard added that Hayes consistently brought up the idea of Undertaker’s undefeated run until it was finally greenlit into a storyline.
Undertaker’s streak would come to an end when Brock Lesnar defeated the Deadman at WrestleMania 30 in 2014.
