Okada Versus O’Reilly
Kyle O’Reilly has been trying to get a shot at Okada’s Continental Title since AEW WrestleDream, but Kazuchika Okada said no, bitch. Well, Kyle asked one more time last night on AEW Rampage and his wish was granted for tonight’s AEW Battle Of The Belts XII. Okada started off hot, but Kyle started to turn the tide. Kyle started to work over Okada’s leg and had him screaming in pain throughout various submission attempts.
Despite Kyle having some great offense, the champ used every measure he could, including raking the eyes, to take back charge. After a solid championship defense, Kazuchika Okada retained his title after drilling O’Reilly with his Rain Maker finish.
