Cody Rhodes: NXT Is No Longer A Developmental, It’s A Grooming Ground For Monsters We’re Going To Face

Cody Rhodes comments on the NXT roster.

WWE NXT has seen a huge boom in the last two years, specifically with the TNA partnership and big signings that the company has made to bring in the very best from around the globe with the current WWE Undisputed Champion, Cody Rhodes saying that NXT isn’t a developmental brand anymore, but more importantly a place for monsters to be built and born.

“NXT, particularly with Baldo [Matt Bloom] and Shawn Michaels, as a talent and current main roster, NXT can be kind of intimidating. It’s not really a developmental anymore. It’s almost a grooming ground for these monsters who are going to come up and stand across the ring from you, and they’ve been trained by Shawn Michaels. We’re definitely preparing the next generation of superstars and wrestlers. Their run on CW, I’ve been blown away. Really special stuff,”  Rhodes said to 3News in Las Vegas.

Rhodes is set to go one-on-one with World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, for the Crown Jewel Championship at WWE Crown Jewel.
