Cody Rhodes: Samantha Irvin’s Emotional Announcement When I Won The Undisputed Championship Will Forever Be Linked To Me

Cody Rhodes will always have love and respect for Samantha Irvin.

On the October 21 edition of WWE Raw, it was announced an hour before the show by Samantha Irvin that she was wrapping things up and departing from the company after working there for the last four years where she proved to be one of the greatest ring announcers of all time. Many WWE Superstars and fans around the world are emotionally happy for Irvin, including the current WWE Undisputed Champion, Cody Rhodes.

“What a wonderful…I feel like time will tell. In our business, five or ten years after somebody is gone, you hear ‘how wonderful. How amazing.’ She is top five, maybe top three. Samantha was just killing it. I know with her and WWE, they left on good terms. That’s amazing because the door is open in case she ever wants to come back. I’ve never watched WrestleMania 40 back, but I can hear it still in terms of her very emotional announcement of (me) winning the WWE Championship. That’s going to forever be linked to me. Hats off to Samantha. That’s one of my homies and I hope to see her down the road. Whatever she does, if you heard her voice, she’s going to kill it,” said Cody to The Schmo.

Rhodes is set to battle the World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther at Crown Jewel for the inagural Crown Jewel Championship.
