Brody King: Tony Khan Pushes Everyone To Be The Best, The Bigger That We Become, The Bigger AEW Gets
Brody King talked about his boss, Tony Khan.
During an exclusive interview on BodySlam from Mark O’Brien with AEW’s Brody King. King opened up about the differences there are when it comes to signing with All Elite Wrestling or the WWE. Noting that if he did not sign with Tony Khan, he more than likely would not be the person he is when he’s on TV and how Khan wants everyone to be the best so that AEW can be recognized as the place where the best are all at.
“The most valuable part of being in AEW is being able to express yourself creatively no matter what,” King said. “It’s like what Darby [Allin] said in his promo like we always talked about making it, signing to a major company, but also being true to ourselves, and it’s like…I don’t know that I would be able to be in a band called Godshate if I was signed to the WWE. And if I was, I don’t know if I would be able to touch on the lyrical stuff that I do in AEW. Tony is so positive and so like–pushing everyone to just be that, best creative self they can be because at the end of the day, the bigger that we become, the bigger that AEW becomes.”
King battled Darby Allin at AEW WrestleDream where for the first time in his AEW career, King was pinned by Allin in the middle of the ring. The two would share a handshake following the brutal match between the two.
