Deonna Purrazzo: I Was Really Grateful To Be Part Of That Development For Nia Jax Throughout The Years

Deonna Purrazzo talks about Nia Jax.

When they first started in WWE NXT, Deonna Purrazzo had a match with Nia Jax in the latter’s second match in the company where a lot of pressure was on Jax to live up to her family name. Purrazzo would open up about the match on a recent edition of Chris Van Vliet’s Insight and how she was grateful to be part of the development that Jax has had since she first started wrestling.

“I love Nia, and she has always been so giving to her opponents. So I remember it was I think her second match in NXT after she debuted, it was me, and I was intimidated, because I’m like, ‘oh gosh,'” Purrazzo said. “She’s new, I’m new, this could be really bad. Sarah Amato helped produce, Triple H was in the ring helping produce. She was just such a sponge to all the things. She gave me a couple of things, way more than I needed at that time. I think she’s such a great person, and to be in those moments with her was really exciting for me. I like to see that development, and I was really grateful to be a part of it.”

Purrazzo is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling where she has formed a team with Taya Valkyrie while Jax is currently the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion.
