Trick Williams Retains NXT Championship At Halloween Havoc

Trick Willy Wonka still has the golden ticket.

Devils Playground Match

The Main Event of NXT Halloween Havoc between NXT Champion Trick Williams and Ethan Page was contested under “Devils Playground” rules. This means No Disqualifications, no rules, falls count anywhere. Of course, weapons were all around and chairs were brought into the match immediately for a hot start.

As the match went on, pumpkins, a bag of nuts and bolts, steel steps, the announcers table and much more came into play. These two are going to be hurting tomorrow with the brutality they brought to each other. Trick’s mouth was busted open and at one point, he was hit with an Ego’s Edge through the announcers table and pinned right at ringside due to the falls count anywhere rule, but he kicked out and survived. Referees and doctors checked on Trick Williams and threatened to stop the match, but Trick said no and continued on. Trick was then slammed right on the corner of the steel steps in nasty fashion.

Cuts, scrapes, bumps and bruises all over both of these men. But, in the end, Trick Williams low-blowed Ethan Page and ht him with the Trick Shot to retain his NXT Title.
