Shelton Benjamin: I’m Not A Supporter Of Tribalism, I Support Giving Everyone An Opportunity To Shine

Shelton Benjamin does not care for tribalism.

Since bursting onto the scene in All Elite Wrestling. Shelton Benjamin has been making an impact in the ring with matches against the likes of Lio Rush and Sammy Guevara, two opponents that Benjamin has dominated and pinned in the center of the ring. However, when it comes to wrestling critics using their tribalism to determine who is good or not, Benjamin believes everyone should support the guys and girls who deserve an opportunity to shine.

“The whole tribalism thing…I get it, it’s Coke and Pepsi, it’s Disney and Warner Brothers,” Benjamin said. “So I get that. But me as a performer, that doesn’t matter to me. That’s an argument for the fans to have. And I’m not a strong supporter of tribalism. I’m a supporter of great talent, I’m a supporter of giving guys and girls opportunities to shine. I want to see everybody succeed.” Benjamin said to Gabby LaSpisa on Gabby AF.

Benjamin is set to go one-on-one with Swerve Strickland on the Halloween Eve edition of AEW Dynamite.
