Chris Jericho: Roddy Piper Was The Gold Standard For What You Want To Be In The Wrestling Business
Chris Jericho opened up about Rowdy.
During an episode of The Adam Carolla Show, Chris Jericho was a guest and was asked to look back on his career where he would recall the first time he met ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper and how in the eyes of Jericho, Piper was the gold standard for what Jericho wanted to show off in the business.
“He’s still kind of a gold standard for, kind of, what you want to be in the business because he had such a great character, If you’re a great character in wrestling, it really lends itself to movies and TV and film, because that’s the basis of what wrestling is,”
Jericho is the current ROH World Champion after he defeated Mark Briscoe in a Ladder Wars match on the October 23 edition of AEW Dynamite.
