Cora Jade On Suffering Torn ACL, MCL, And Meniscus: I Was At Rock Bottom, It Was The Worst Injury I’ve Ever Had In My Life
Cora Jade opened up about her recent injury and comeback.
While speaking to Sports Illustrated’s “The Takedown, Cora Jade opened up about the recovery process and getting back into the ring after she suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus that would result in her missing out on the next nine months of action where she had to watch everything from the sidelines. A moment Jade considers to be her rock bottom.
“At that point, it was almost like I was at rock bottom, so [I] can only go up,” Jade said. “I had no choice in the matter, and … I was kind of just looking at it like everything happens for a reason. I haven’t had a break since I was 16 years old, and I just [needed] to take the time to get better. It was the worst injury I’ve ever had in my life,” Jade stated. “Obviously physically, but mentally — it was just awful.”
Jade returned to NXT where she attacked Giulia to help Roxanne Perez retain the Women’s NXT Championship before the two teamed up in a losing effort against Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer.
