Swerve Strickland vs. Shelton Benjamin
Swerve Strickland vs. Shelton Benjamin main evented AEW Fight Night Dynamite and it was the Halloween treat we all wanted. Back and forth early between both men, with Swerve beginning to target the limbs of Shelton. But, the calculated veteran fought back and even showed his strength by tossing Swerve around.
As the main event rolled on, so did Shelton. He had Strickland flying all over the ring and was just mauling Swerve. Suffocating offense. Then, a swift kick to the face can turn the tables fast. Swerve was digging deep and started getting his offense in. The battle continued and both men had their moments. Swerve then put the final nail in the coffin and drilled Benjamin with the Swerve Stomp for the win.
Following the match, while Swerve celebrated, he was interrupted by the debuting Bobby Lashley! Lashley went face to face with Swerve before clotheslining the hell out of him. Shelton and Lashley beat Swerve down while MVP held back Prince Nana. Shelton then laid out Nana while Lashley put the Hurt Lock on Swerve until he passed out. Security tried to help, but they were laid out too.
MVP said “Guess who’s back in business?” to end the show.
