Shelton Benjamin: I Have No Desire To Be A Spot Filler
Shelton Benjamin wants to be at the top.
While reflecting on his career and future goals on an episode of Busted Open Radio, Shelton Benjamin opened up about a problem he has had with those who feel the need to be disrespectful to the Standard Of Excellence.
“I think one of the biggest misconceptions, and it keeps coming up, is my desire to just be on the roster,” Benjamin said. “I’ve even heard bogus stories pop up about me saying, “I’m happy just to be on the roster. I’m happy just to have a spot. I’m happy to sit in catering.’ Every time I hear this stuff, it really irks me. I have no desire to be a spot-filler,” Benjamin concluded.
Benjamin signed with All Elite Wrestling a few weeks back and has already racked up wins over Lio Rush and Sammy Guevara, but also put up a hard-fought battle against Swerve Strickland before Bobby Lashley joined the Hurt Syndicate alongside Benjamin and MVP.
