Cody Rhodes: The Contract I Signed To Return To WWE Was Fifteen Times More Than I Earned In My First Run
Cody Rhodes talks about the money.
When Cody Rhodes decided not to return to All Elite Wrestling in 2022. The next stop for the American Nightmare was to come back to the WWE and finish the story that his half-brother and father could not achieve during their runs with the WWF/WWE, but there was no stopping Rhodes who was ready to be back, but would be offered a very big contract when Vince McMahon was still in office.
“Really old school. Scribbled on a piece of paper the amount of money the contract would be for and just slid it across, which was unnecessary,” Cody recalled on The Flagrant.
Asked how much money was offered, Cody said, “I can’t tell you exactly how much it was. I can tell you it was 15 times more than what I had been making in WWE in the first run.”
Rhodes recently defeated GUNTHER to become the first-ever Crown Jewel Champion at Crown Jewel 2024.
