Grab ‘Em by the Puthy: Jake Hager Allegedly Endorses Trump, Attempts to Educate Women on Their Reproductive Rights
The views expressed in this or any other editorial are solely those of the writer and do not necessarily represent the views, thoughts, feelings, or sense of humor as any Bodyslam.net staff. They are opinions and should not be considered news.
The country is on the edge of its collective seat on this night, the night of the 2024 election. Some people have hunkered and bunkered down in front of their television sets with a blanket, snacks, a six-pack of their favorite alcoholic beverages. Others are completely ignoring the election, instead choosing to read a book or go to the movies. Others, still, are constantly refreshing their Twitter/X feed, feeling the emotional rise and fall that comes with an election that will take quite some time to produce an actual result.
And then…there’s people like Jake Hager (FKA Jack Swagger). Hager, unsurprisingly, has publicly endorsed Donald Trump to be the president of the United States. Which is fine, this is America and people can do what they want (as long as they’re straight. And white. And male). Hager is free to vote for whomever he chooses but instead of just endorsing his chosen president and moving on, he’s opting to argue with random wrestling fans about women’s reproductive rights.
So, that’s how Hager began his weird, random Twitter/X outburst. As childish as it sounds, you really can say that “he started it.”
Unless, of course, he was “hacked.” Which he may or may not claim in the days and weeks to come once he starts losing wrestling bookings and what little credibility he’s got left.
Hager posted that about an hour ago, from the time of this writing. Naturally, it angered many women — wrestling fans and non-fans alike. So, they responded. Men were angry as well, though even their opinions on this matter, well-intentioned or not, don’t actually matter. Still, some of their comments were funny.
Hager, however, responded to the “womens rights wrestling fans [SIC]” that responded to his post. In his response, Hager wrongly, and grammatically incorrectly, compared abortion to getting vaccinated, which has been an erroneous far-right talking point ever since the idea of a COVID-19 vaccination was first introduced. It’s not surprising that Hager would take up this talking point. What is surprising, kind of, is that he’s trying to educate women on their reproductive rights but he doesn’t even understand what abortion actually is.
Case-in-point:
When a gentleman attempted to respond with a reasonable, factual statement, Hager doubled down.
Hager, who is either drunk or stupid…or both… then reiterated his choice of Trump as the President of the United States.
Yes he is support Trump. Yes he’s against killing babies. Yes, he is probably racist.
Again, the responses did not disappoint.
Moving on…
He knows a women doesn’t get to define murder. He also knows that wrestling fans are going to remember this night for a long, long time. So instead of just alienating women wrestling fans, he opted to attack all wrestling fans.
Hager also…wait! BREAKING NEWS!!!
Literally as I’m writing this, Hager tweeted another mistake that he’s going to regret in the morning.
Buckle in, it seems like this is going to be a long night for the former Jack Swagger. We’ll update you with his inevitable Notes Apology and/or ‘I got hacked!” claim when it becomes available.
