Bo Nickal Feels Like Paul Craig Is His First ‘Big Name’ Opponent
Bo has stepped up.
Bo Nickal vs. Paul Craig
Bo Nickal vs. Paul Craig is set for this Saturday at UFC 309 live last Madison Square Garden on the main card of Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic. Heading into the fight, Bo Nickal is carrying a record of 6-0 as an undefeated prospect, but this Saturday is his toughest test yet.
Bo has dominated every opponent so far, having a 100% finish rate and only entering the second round one time in his career. Now, while speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Ariel mentioned that the 17-8-1 veteran Paul Craig feels his first big name test in MMA, and Bo agreed.
Yeah, I agree with that and of course, a lot of people know Paul Craig and he’s had some really big wins in his career and he’s a dangerous opponent, you know. He’s finished guys that have been champions and have fought for the belt, so, you know, this is definitely the most dangerous fight I’ve had up to this point and a big step up. But, I feel prepared and ready to, you know, just continue to build my reputation.
Bo Nickal went on to reveal his reaction to finding out Paul Craig was his next opponent.
I said “Let’s do it, let’s go! I’m ready to go.” And I felt like that’s what I want to do, I want to have a step up in competition every single time I fight. Felt like this was a step up and an appropriate one and it just gives me a chance to, like I said, continue to build my reputation, test my skills and improve as a fighter overall.
Paul Craig is currently on a 0-2 losing streak, but, he does have finishes over the likes of Jamahal Hill and Magomed Ankalaev. Craig is know for his grappling, so this will certainly be an interesting test for the wrestler, Bo Nickal.
