Khamzat Chimaev Runs Through Robert Whittaker
Bo Nickal and Khamzat Chimaev are both undefeated, both have a wrestling style and have both mentioned fighting each other. Many fans want to see the match up to see who is the best wrestler in the middleweight division. Now, both men are on back-to-back pay-per-views as Khamzat Chimaev defeated Robert Whittaker via Submission in round one at UFC 308. Saturday, Bo Nickal fights Paul Craig at UFC 309.
While Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Bo Nickal was asked about Khamzat’s performance and if he watched the fight. He did, and he was impressed.
Yeah I did watch it, and you know, I think it was super impressive. To be honest, it’s funny because, a lot of people expected that to be a tough fight for him and, you know, you can ask around, all the people that I talk to, I kind of thought he would do that to Whittaker. Which, it’s, so, it’s one thing to think that, or kind of see that happening, but he actually did it, which is super impressive. You know, Whittaker’s not an easy fight for anybody and he made it look easy. So, I was really impressed with his last performance and yeah, it seemed like he kind of took a different mentality into the fight as well, which was cool to see, but, that’s a fight I’m looking forward to. I think he’s obviously quite a bit ahead of me right now, but, he’ll be fighting for the belt soon and I’ll catch up quick.
Could we see these two battling for the gold down the line? It’s certainly a big possibility. UFC 309 goes down this Saturday, November 16th at Madison Square Garden and is available to watch on ESPN+ and Pay-Per-View.
