Mikey Musumeci Signs Exclusive BJJ Contract With UFC
Mikey Musumeci with UFC? Kind of.
Mikey Musumeci At Fight Pass Invitational
Mikey Musumeci is a wizard when it comes to jiu-jitsu. The former ONE Champion is one of the best grapplers in the game. But, he shocked everyone when he revealed earlier this month that he was done with ONE Championship and would be heading back to the United States to live. Well, he already is back in the scene just a few weeks later.
Today, Dana White shocked the Jiu-Jitsu world when he took to social media to announce that UFC has signed Mikey Musumeci to the first ever BJJ promotional agreement in the company history. Mikey will now compete with Fight Pass Invitational, UFC’s exclusive grappling promotion on UFC Fight Pass. Dana says they will exclusively sign more BJJ players in the coming months.
Mikey Musumeci will make his promotional debut against Felipe Machado at UFC Fight Pass Invitational 9 on Thursday, December 5th at 8PM ET at the UFC Apex. Mikey is a multiple time BJJ world champion and has been unbeaten at 135 pounds in the last 8 years. UFC is taking over the Jiu-Jitsu game. Stay tuned for more signing announcements.
