Stipe Miocic Retires Following UFC 309 Loss

Thank You, Stipe.

UFC 309 Loss

Stipe Miocic challenged Jon Jones for his UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 309 in Madison Square Garden. Sadly for Stipe, he did not come out victorious. Stipe was dominated by Jon Jones for three rounds before Jon nailed Stipe with a spinning back kick to the body that put Miocic down. Jon retained AND FOLLOWING jONE’S SPEECH, Stipe Miocic announced that he is hanging the gloves up and retiring.

Stipe Miocic ends his career 20-5 and is largely regarded as one of the greatest Heavyweights of all-time. Stipe has victories over the likes of Daniel Cormier, Francis Ngannou, Alistair Overeem, Junior Dos Santos, Fabricio Werdum, Andrei Arlovski and much more. With 15 of his wins coming by knockout, Stipe was as deadly on the feet as anyone. Now, after a historic career, the two time UFC Heavyweight champion says goodbye.

Thank you, Stipe. We wish you the best in retirement. You can see the UFC 309 results here.
