On January 17, 2023, at the age of 38, Jay Briscoe (Jamin Pugh) sadly passed away in a car accident. His daughters Jayleigh and Gracie were in the car with him.
Gracie Speaks Out
During the accident, Gracie suffered a spinal cord injury and Jayleigh suffered a broken leg, collarbone, and stomach injuries. Following the accident, it was known if Gracie would ever walk again. Now, after surgery and rehab, Gracie can walk, run, ride a bike and tumble again. Gracie kept faith in God even if the doctors didn’t believe in her. She said “I had to remember that my dad would never want me to be in a wheelchair and to follow in God,”

Jay Briscoe wrestled for over 20 years and was best known for his time in ROH, where he teamed with his brother, Mark Briscoe. Mark now competes in AEW.
