Big Boom AJ Suffered Broken Foot Ahead Of AEW Match
He brought the BOOM! While injured
Big Boom AJ’s Injury
Big Boom AJ, Big Justice & The Rizzler took the world by storm with their social media videos. Now, they’ve taken the wrestling world by storm after accumulating over 10 Million views across social media for Big Boom AJ’s AEW debut against QT Marshall at AEW Full Gear Zero Hour.
But, after an impressive showing and fun match in the ring, things get even more interesting. Fightful Select first reported that Big Boom AJ was working the match with a broken foot. In fact, he broke his foot prior to the match during the day!
Fightful reported yesterday that AEW talent managed to escape without serious injury on Full Gear. However, not everyone was so lucky. It was confirmed that Big Boom AJ sustained a broken foot and was on crutches after the show. However, the story is even wilder.
Fightful confirmed that Big Boom AJ actually broke his foot earlier in the day, and largely kept it to himself. We’re told that he didn’t want to disappoint fans who had bought a ticket to see him and waste promotion for the match.
Big Boom AJ did pick up the win and celebrated with Big Justice and The Rizzler post-match. He walked off the broken foot well, and showed no signs of a foot injury. He even participated in the post-show media scrum and did not mention it. But, he did say he’d be willing to return to AEW, and Tony Khan shared that sentiment. What a guy.
