Bryan Battle is a pro-wrestling guy.
UFC & WWE Meet Again
WWE and UFC are under the same umbrella with TKO now. We’ve seen a few different collaborations with stars from each brand on the others shows. But, maybe Bryan Battle is next? Back in September, Bryan Battle won his fight in France and then proceeded to cut a pro-wrestling like promo post-fight.
”I know y’all didn’t think the butcher was going to lose in a fist fight to a French dude.” Bryan said after his win, firing up the French crowd, who were already boo’ing him. Now, Battle sat down on The Ariel Helwani Show where Ariel asked him if he was a pro-wrestling fan, because his promo was seemed to draw inspiration from wrestling. Bryan revealed he is a fan.
For sure, for sure. I’m a pro-wrestling guy, you know. I’m more of a Ruthless Aggression era guy, you know what I’m saying? Little bit, you know, I idolized or romanticized the Attitude Era just like everyone else, but you know. Yeah, you know it’s just like, those guys, they know how to entertain people, they know how to get the crowd riled up and you know, I’ve been watching that stuff since I was a kid. So, any time the crowd gives you energy, it’s really easy to play off of that, you know what I’m saying? Whether it’s negative or positive energy, I’ll take whatever I can get. Give me something to do, don’t just be sitting there. So, even if you’re booing me, giving me the middle finger and you’re cussing me out, I love it. I really do. That was just me being honest, that part was me being honest. I really did love them being vocal with their displeasure of my antics.
Bryan Battle would make a good transition to pro-wrestling if he’d like. But, for now, Bryan has a fight coming up at UFC 310 on December 7, 2024 in Las Vegas against Randy Brown.
