Claudio Castagnoli vs. Ricochet
In the second Continental Classic match of the night, Claudio Castagnoli took on Ricochet. A classic encounter of speed versus strength with both men exercising their expertise early on. Claudio had the upper hand in the begging.
Claudio was throwing Ricochet all around the ringside area, dropping him neck first on the barricade, uppercutting him, and throwing him back into the ring. But, that’s when Ricochet started to turn things his way, with a big suicide dive onto Claudio and acknowledging the crowds “this is bald” chants.
Castagnoli on the other hand, didn’t find that amusing and fought back to shut everyone up. Claudio hit a nasty back-breaker followed by a big boot but only picked up a two count off of it. Claudio was looking for a finish, but Ricochet reversed into a huge Hurricanrana, followed by a massive dive and a spring board clothesline.
Ricochet was rolling momentarily, but as Claudio fought back, there was no stopping the Swiss Superman. Claudio dropped Ricochet groin first on the barricade, then hit a de gestating lariat back in the ring for the win. Claudio earns 3 points in his league.
