Moments ago, Steven Muehlhausen of Sports Illustrated revealed that Matt and Jeff Hardy have officially signed new contracts with TNA Wrestling. Matt had previously reported that the two were working on a handshake deal.
TNA Wrestling took to their social media Twitter to confirm the news.
Matt Hardy’s contract with AEW had previously expired, allowing Matt to become a free agent. Matt appeared at the TNA Rebellion PPV after Moose held a successful defense of the TNA World Title against Nic Nemeth, immediately making his intentions known.
Jeff joined his brother a few months later at the Against All Odds PLE in Chicago in mid-June.
The pair defeated The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) and ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) In a Full Metal Mayhem Match to become the new TNA Tag Team Champions at Bound For Glory back in October.
Matt has been quoted saying that “TNA has a lot of big plans in 2025”, including a LIVE Thursday show on 1/23.
Matt Hardy: It’s exciting. It’s exciting for us. We really believe in the direction that TNA is going. They’ve got a lot of big plans for 2025. They’ve taken great care of us. They have put myself and Jeff in positions to succeed, which we’re very grateful for. We love the crew there, from the boys and the girls in the locker room to the management. Everyone and everything is really clicking right now. It feels like the unity is strong. The brand is growing again. I see a lot of upward mobility for TNA over the course of the next year. Jeff and I will be part of that for the next year.
