EFFY runs his ‘EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch’ event sometimes multiple times a year, but famously for over during WrestleMania weekend. EFFY takes a bunch of LGBTQ talent and puts them on a wrestling show under the GCW umbrella and lets them shine. The show is usually full of fun and energetic matches, and sometimes stuff you’ve never seen before.
Now, EFFY sat down with an interview with BodySlamNets own Game Changer Weekly where he confirmed that Big Gay Brunch is returning in Vegas for WrestleMania 41 weekend.
Confirmed! EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch in Vegas confirmed. We will be, is it the Pearl Theater of the Palm? Very excited, I think it’s the biggest capacity crowd we’re going to have for Big Gay Brunch. I took a break from Gay Brunch, now granite, I did one in England back in September, it was handled for the most part by other people. I was brought in, it was fantastic and easy, but over the course of April of this year to April of last year, I did six Big Gay Brunches. I was worn out. Like, consistently like, just by quantity, I’m one of the most booked people in all of wrestling. More so, like MJF worked nine matches last year and I had worked what, 113 you said? So, a little different, a worse schedule, I mean he’s paid a lot more money and that’s fine. But, I am quantitatively doing a lot and on top of that, running these shows. And I truly care about these shows. I want people to shine, I want to book new talent, I want to give people opportunities, it is emotionally so draining to do it and it is so draining to have boundaries and I want everyone to succeed and you know, like I don’t even think I should be wrestling on the Big Gay Brunches, but granite, they have my name on them. Taking that little break from having to run brunches, taking that break from Chicago, taking that break from Royal Rumble coming up, it’s going to lead to a better product when we return in Vegas. I’ve had time to get my brain right. I know what I’m doing now, I feel very confident about the card we can put on in Las Vegas, very confident about the talent we’re able to bring in and I think it’s going to be something like you’ve never seen before, the biggest Gay Brunch yet and technically this is the tenth Big Gay Brunch with GCW and will be the thirteenth overall including the England Big Gay Brunches. Lucky 13, right?
GCW has not yet revealed the schedule as far as what days and times each GCW event will be on during WrestleMania weekend, but BGB will be there. You can watch the full interview below.
