UFC 310 live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada is this Saturday night on Pay-Per-View. In the co-main event, it’s the battle of the undefeated as 18-0 Shavkat Rakhmonov takes on 15-0 Ian Garry. With a championship opportunity and records on the line, there’s no doubt both men are locked in.
Ahead of every fight week, commentators and analysts sit down privately with each fighter on the card for ‘fighter meetings’, and in most cases, the outside world doesn’t get to see much, if any, of what goes on in those meetings. But, Jon Anik, UFC’s Play-by-Play commentator, lets fans in on some tidbits.
Today, they had a fighter meeting with Shavkat Rahkmonov and Jon Anik has revealed via X that usually Shavkat is friendly, but today he seemed focused and intense. He wrote; “Shavkat Rakhmonov’s focus/intensity in our fighter meeting today is worth mentioning. He gave me chocolates in a previous fighter meeting. Today I was a bit intimidated! He was thoughtful with his answers, to be sure, but man I was fearful of asking a poor question!”
