WWE NXT Results & Review (December 10th, 2024)

WWE NXT is back live out of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Welcome to the Bodyslam results and review coverage of NXT for this week!

The show begins with the Women’s Iron Survivor Giulia hitting the ring to say she is out to do exactly what she came to NXT for. She is coming for Roxanne Perez and the NXT Women’s Championship at New Years Evil. She is quickly interrupted by Perez, who is joined by her bestie Cora Jade. Jade brags that Giulia’s friend Stephanie Vaquer wouldn’t be there to help her because she attacked her.

After Kelani Jordan comes to Giulia’s rescue, Perez and Jade get out of dodge.

NXT North American title Match?

It transitions backstage, where Tony D’Angelo expresses his gratitude for Ethan Page and offered him a North American title match. Page declined by saying that the title is beneath him. D’Angelo asks everyone else and convinces Page that he has to beat him. If he can’t beat him, his career might as well be over.

-In a smaller segment after this, No Quarter Catch Crew is congratulating each other for their respective performances at NXT Deadline. Jaida Parker and OTM interrupt them and gloat about them falling short of winning the NXT Tag Team titles. Parker reminds Wren Sinclair that she wouldn’t have been in the Iron Survivor match if she didn’t fall into a pin.

Young O.G. teaches NXT veteran Wes Lee a lesson

Je’Von Evans and Wes Lee are set to face each other. Evans and Lee start the match by trading punches. Lee gets thrown out of the ring. Evans tries to take control with his high-flying bouncy moves including a springboard, but Lee catches him in the air with a dropkick to take control early. Lee gets too confident and Evans begins to take advantage. Evans tries another springboard, but Lee retaliates and trips Evans on the ropes. Lee tries to cheat to beat Evans by pinning him with his feet on the ropes. The referee catches him. The two fight each other and reverse each other until Lee lands the Cardiac Kick. Not enough! Two count! Evans drops Lee with a superkick followed by his double jump corkscrew splash for the victory. Evans wins the match.

While all of this was going on during the show, WWE NXT took to X to announce two more matches coming on tonight’s show.

Tag Match: Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont vs. Hank and Tank

NXT continues to heat up the men’s tag team division. Dupont and Tank go back and forth to start the match until Tank lands a clothesline. Tank tags in Hank, who immediately gets a double shoulder block from both Dupont and Igwe. Hank and Tank fight back and begin taking down Igwe. Dupont tags in and gets a two count after a big splash. After trading blows, Hank and Tank hit their finisher on Dupont for the victory. Hank and Tank win.

Oba Femi and Trick Williams First Face-Off

Oba Femi comes out and talks about winning the Men’s Iron Survivor Match. He talks about how he destroyed everyone in the match. He says he is now focused on his upcoming NXT title match at New Year’s Evil. Femi says he will take over his rightful throne. He also mentions that he has never met face-to-face with NXT Champion Trick Williams. Williams quickly grants his wish by coming out to join Femi in the ring. The two begin talking about their upcoming match. Eddy Thorpe interrupts and makes the segment weird by complaining Femi attacked him to take his spot (Duh).

Thorpe doesn’t know exactly who attacked him, but says they were big and strong. Femi thanks him for the compliments and says he is done talking to him. Femi and Williams trade reasons why they will walk out of New Years Evil as champion. Femi leaves. Thorpe continues complaining to Williams calling out his leadership. Williams tells him to shut up and he will give him a title match next week to show the kind of champion he is.

Transfer Window Begins on NXT with a returning Smackdown superstar

It’s time for some women’s tag team action between Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley against Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx of Fatal Attraction. Dolin and Paxley begin the match in full control until a Fallon Henley distraction gives Jayne the opportunity to capitalize. Jayne takes control. Once Henley got involved in the match, Paxley was left all alone while Dolin was occupied by Fatal Attraction. Paxley gets the discus punch for the victory for Fatal Attraction. The match was a mere three or four minutes After the conclusion on the match, Fatal Influence attack Paxley and Dolin until Shotzi returns to even the odds! Welcome back, Shotzi!

Ethan Page’s Last Match in NXT?

Earlier in the night, D’Angelo challenged Page and said he would give him a shot at the NXT North American Championship. The entire match it was clear that Page was either in his own head or wasn’t thinking much at all. Page seemed as if he has lost all confidence in himself. D’Angelo basically owned Page in this match. After he clearly lost his confidence, Page was pinned by D’Angelo. D’Angelo retains the title by pinfall.

This was very likely Page’s final match on NXT. If it wasn’t his days are definitely numbered. With the transfer window available for superstars on all three brands, Page is likely to jump ship after already having a reign as NXT Champion. He has nothing left to prove on the brand. Hopefully, he leaves the show with a smile.

Jade gets a much needed victory

The main event was absolute chaos! A wild and crazy match of back and forths. The match ends with Perez hitting Jordan with her Pop Rox finisher outside the ring. Giulia and Perez then begin brawling outside the ring and take the fight to the back. While this is happening, Jade takes advantage of the distraction and hits Jordan with her Jaded DDT for the win. Jade and Perez win via pinfall.

After the match, Jade is gloating in the ring due to her victory. It was a huge win for her after losing every match since he return in Chicago back in October. Vaquer comes out and surprise attacks Jade. A great way to end the show. It feels like a heel turn for Jordan is coming, but could be reading too far into things. All in all, another great episode of NXT.
