Steph De Lander returned to TNA Wrestling on the 3/28 TNA iMPACT episode, where she filled In for Ash By Elegance in a match to crown the top contender for the TNA Knockouts World Title, and earn a shot at the Rebellion PPV.
De Lander won the match with help from an outside source – the returning Matt Cardona – and secured herself the spot against Jordynne Grace for the title at Rebellion. She was alleged to have agreed to some dates that would see her with TNA until the end of 2024.
Fightful Select has reported a number of TNA contracts are set to expire at the end of 2024, with many of the talent working their last contracted loops. Among them is Steph De Lander.
TNA is interested in bringing her back when she is able.
De Lander was the winner of the 2023 Indie Act of the Year in the Fightful Awards before signing with TNA and committing more there.
De Lander announced her own injury at the LIVE Victory Road event, SDL was scheduled to team with Matt Cardona in a tag team match against PCO and Rhino, against he will. It was here that Steph came out and announced that she has a neck injury and will be out of action indefinitely.
Steph has surgery for the neck issue at the end of October, and shared an update about two weeks later.
While speaking on The Commentary Booth podcast, Steph De Lander revealed that she is feeling very good for someone who has just been out of surgery two weeks ago.
“Good. Feels good… I feel great. I mean, it’s been I think just on two weeks since surgery now. And obviously, I’ve got a long ways to go as far as recovery is concerned. But, for two weeks post-neck surgery, I’m feeling pretty good…”
