ROH Women’s Championship
In the main event of ROH Final Battle, the longest reigning ROH Women’s Champion Athena defends her title against her former partner and proclaimed “minion”, Billie Starkz. This match has been a long time coming, and Billie Starkz couldn’t wait to get her hands on Athena.
These two faced for the title last year, with Billie really being hesitant, and it cost her the match. Now, the challenger had zero hesitation and came out of the gate on fire. Billie brought the fight to Athena immediately, and was all over the champion.
Athena won’t go away easy, though, as she brought the fight right back to the fan-favorite Billie Starkz. Athena almost had it finished a few times, but Billie just wouldn’t stay down. The crowd was cheering Starkz on, giving her the fuel to stay in the match.
Athena tried for her signature Oh-Face, but Billie blocked it and allowed the battle to continue. Starkz had Athena well scouted, even reversing a piledriver into one of her own for a very close 2 count.
After a hard fought battle and a fantastic main event, Billie Starkz was send head-first into the exposed turnbuckle, followed by the Oh-Face and Athena retains.
