AEW is in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New Yoro City this weekend, kicking off with ROH Final Battle 2024 tonight The event will be headlined by a ‘double main event’ with Athena vs. Billie Starkz for the ROH Women’s Title and Chris Jericho vs. Matt Cardona for the ROH World Title. ROH/AEW will then have a full set of Tapings this weekend with AEW Collision and AEW Dynamite being taped at the same venue.
Today, Fightful Select has reported that former ROH World Champion Bandido is in town for the events. Recently, Bandido has been getting return vignettes on AEW Dynamite after being on the shelf due to injury. But, he has been cleared for a return.
A returning name is in town for this weekend’s AEW NYC tapings at Hammerstein.
Fightful Select has confirmed that Bandido is in New York City, where AEW will film ROH Final Battle, AEW Dynamite and Collision this weekend. Bandido has recently had vignettes promoting his return.
Fightful Select confirmed recently that Bandido had been cleared for a return, after Raw co-host Ibou reported on Wrestlepurists that he was backstage at a Dynamite episode. Bandido has been out of action for 18 months.
Lee Moriarty is set to defend his ROH PURE title in an open challenge against a currently unnamed opponent, could Bandido be the surprise? Not confirmed, but very possible. Keep your eyes on that one. It is also possible that Bandido could show up on AEW Collision or AEW Dynamite’s Tapings as well.
