ROH TV Championship
The ROH TV Championship is defended tonight in a survival of the fittest match where champion Brian Cage defends against Willie Mack, Mark Davis, Blake Christian, Komander and AR Fox.
With all six of these men, of course it was off to a fiery start. Bodies flying everywhere, the big men showing off their power and everyone going crazy. Each man had their moment to shine and you couldn’t blink, or you’d miss this fast pace action.
Blake Christian was easily the most hated man in this match, as he gets Boo’d often in New York with GCW. In ROH, it was no different. No matter how much he internally ‘wow’d’ the crowd, they still gave him a thumbs down. But, they sure did cheer the insane high-flying moves of AR Fox and Komander, who were showing off their innovative moves here.
Brian Cage had the crowd on their feet after a one handed press-slam to Komander. Then, the big Willie Mack showed off his strength with a double Samoan drop on Fox and Komander both. Everyone was on their A-game in this one.
Eliminations then started to occur, Willie Mack was eliminated first, then AR Fox, both by Brian Cage. Mark Davis then pinned Brian Cage, eliminating him and confirming there will be a new champion.
The final three came down to Mark Davis, Komander and Blake Christian. Blake then low-blowed Davis and eliminated him, making Komander and Blake Christian the final two. It was very clear which side the fans were on, and Blake played on the hate.
In the end, Komander drilled a super-poisonrana on Blake, followed by his signature rope-walk cross body, and tried to finish it up with another dive, but Blake stopped it and drilled a stomp, that got him a near fall. The crowd was holding their breath for that one. Then, Komander battled back, hitting a springboard destoryer and a 619/shooting star press combo for the win. Komander is the new ROH TV Champion.
