Mariah May Retains AEW Women’s Championship In A Tijuana Street Fight
Barbed Wire, Tables, Chairs, Oh My!
Tijuana Street Fight
AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May defended her gold against Thunder Rosa at AEW Worlds End, but it wasn’t just any match. It was Thunder Rosa’s ‘signature’ Tijuana Street Fight. Of course, things got off the rails very quickly.
Thunder Rosa went on the attack immediately when Mariah got into the face of Thunder’s Father who was sitting at ringside before the bell rang. Then, it was all chaos from there. In the ring, out of the ring, up the ramp and plunder everywhere.
From trash cans and tequila to steel steps and glass, these ladies were using anything they could get their hands on, and they beat the hell out of each other. At one point, Mariah May hit her ‘MayDay’ onto a bed of thumbtacks for a near fall.
Thunder Rosa then ran off of a table with a shotgun drop kick, which had the crowd on their feet. As the match went on, and more chaos ensued, fans were on their feet especially after Mariah hit Thunder with a PileDriver off the apron through a table for the win.
PILEDRIVER OFF THE APRONG AND THROUGH THE TABLE GAHHHDDDAAMMNNNNNN AND STILL! #AEW #AEWWorldsEnd
