TBS Championship Match
Mercedes Monè defended her TBS Championship against Kris Statlander at AEW’s Full Gear last month in what was a highly-touted contest. Now, after Monè won the first encounter, they went head-to-head again at AEW Worlds End for the gold.
A very quick start from both as the match began, with Statlander getting the early power advantage. When Mercedes tried to fire back, Statlander had an answer to whatever was coming her way. That was until the match was taken to the outside of the ring, which is where the champion took control.
Both champion and challenger had some big moments in the match, and it seemed like it could be anyone’s match to win. Then, Kris seemed to almost have it done with a package piledriver, yet, it wasn’t enough! Mercedes then hit her Mone-Maker on the floor, but that wasn’t enough!
After what was another great bout between the two, Mercedes picked up the win with a nice cradle pin, after almost being on the verge of a loss.
