El Hijo Del Vikingo Injured At PROGRESS Wrestling’s Unboxing VII, Match Stopped Early
It was a scary situation today at PROGRESS Wrestling’s Unboxing VII.
El Hijo Del Vikingo was set to make his United Kingdom debut for PROGRESS Wrestling earlier today, when he faced Kid Lykos II at their Unboxing VII event. However, the match resulted in a no contest due to referee stoppage after El Hijo Del Vikingo suffered a potentially serious injury.
The match was immediately stopped when El Hijo Del Vikingo appeared to suffer a knee injury while on the receiving end of a slingshot code red from Kid Lykos II.
PROGRESS Wrestling issued a statement via social media regarding El Hijo Del Vikingo’s injury during his match at Unboxing VII.
“Vikingo vs Lykos II was stopped early due to an unfortunate injury to Vikingo.
He will get checked over by our medical team, and we hope for a speedy recovery, and a return to a PROGRESS ring in the future.”
